The plates do help "pull" the plastic fender-corner back in, but they could be better. For example, a nut should have been welded to the back of the plate where the existing screw would go through the plastic fender-corner to give more strength to the screw. Rather, we are expected to use the existing screw and existing anchor (which is not very strong) to help deform the plastic and pull it back in. One of the metal anchors actually deformed and popped out. I had to find a larger screw to take up the gap, and help expand the anchor properly. The concept is good, but it fell a bit short in the execution.
If anyone is wondering I fit 35x12.5 tires on a 17 in method wheel on my Silverado with 3 in level kit, doesn’t rub after this mod
Spent a little time watching a youtube video, read the directions and went to work! It looked like factory when I was all done and gained the clearance they promised to fit the 33x12.5 tires on the truck.
